Ohio Friends

Last week my grandparents and Uncle Scott had friends visit from Springfield, Ohio. They are really nice people and I enjoyed going to the NC Zoo with them!! I really liked Kristin and the races she and I had. I always won, but I know Kristin let me. I can't wait to see them again and I hope they enjoyed their time in NC.

Lazy Days of Summer

Nanny and Papa Hall, Uncle Scott, Aunt Doddie, Unca Roy, Nana, Poppie and Me!

There's so much to do in the summer that most of the time I am tired or cranky for always going and doing so much! I guess that is why my family's favorite day of the week is Sunday. The day starts off with me getting to sleep late, because during the week I have to get up so early to go to school. Then I get to have a tasty breakfast, watch a few cartoons and then it's off to church. Most of the time I end up staying in the nursery during church because I have trouble being quiet. After church we aways go to my nanny and papa Hall's and have a delicious lunch! I get to run, play, swing and play tag and worry the adults! I don't know how much fun it is for them but, I have lots fun playing with Aunt Doddie, "Unca Roy", poppie, nana, nanny, papa and Scott. Most of the time my mommy and Uncle Boozie are there, but sometimes mommy has to work! Of course, I love being the center of attention on Sundays as much as any other day of the week!

My Little Red Wagon

Bumpin' up and down in my little red wagon...

Having so much fun!!!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I love my wagon. Almost every afternoon my mommy takes me riding. We go through our neighborhood and then back to the "cray ground". I have so much fun riding my wagon! Sometimes if mommy is pulling me down hill, she will get in the wagon and ride with me. We can go really fast and I think it is so funny! I usually sit very still until we get to the play ground and then I hop out and run and play. By the time mommy and I leave the park, I am so tired! It's
nice to be able to sit in my wagon and rest while mommy pulls me home!
Chugga...Chugga...Choo...Choo
I LOVE trains!! I have so many trains and I love to watch Thomas and friends! My room looks like a train depot and I can play for hours with them. I know the difference in coal cars, log carriers, snow plows, engines and cabooses. I know exactly where each one fits to make the train complete. It is the biggest fascination I have!!
Saturday night me, mommy, nana, and nanny Hall went to Danville. Of course I got a train and a train book. When we started home we stopped at Chick filet to eat. I noticed there were a lot of dada's in there eating. I know mommy tells me my dada is in the Navy and stationed far away, and that he works on airplanes but I really don't understand all of that. So.....I said, "Nana, there's a dada" and nana says, "That is a dada, where is your dada?". I said, "At work." Nana says, "Where does your dada work?" and I said "At the train station!!! He's the conductor!!" I'm not sure why, but everybody laughed at me when I said that!!! Maybe one day I'll find out why that was so funny!
That's what I get.......
.....at least that's what mommy says. I got bit at school yesterday. Ms. Laura told mommy that I had a habit of taking things from other kids and not giving them back. Mommy has talked to me several times about sharing and taking turns, but that is just another one of many things I have trouble remembering. I don't have to share at home. I have no brothers or sisters and mommy, nana or poppie don't want my toys, so I don't understand why the other kids think they should have them! Ms. Laura can't tell mommy who bit me because it is against school rules, but I told mommy. IT WAS AUSTIN! He is still my friend and I really don't remember the bite....unfortunately, no more than I will remember to share!
Splish.........Splash
I hate bath time! I don't know why!! I love to play in the hose outside, in the birdbath and in mud puddles. I love to help nana and nanny Hall water their flowers and I love to feel the rain splash in my face! I like to play in the toilet water and in the kitchen sink bubbles. I really liked the pool this summer with my friends Mr. Cass and Adam and Aunt "Carwa"......but I hate a bath. Mommy trys to make it fun so I won't cry! She has bought all kinds of bath toys, bath crayons, bath trains and soaps. She sings and makes my hair look funny with bubbles, but I still don't like it. I beg and beg and cry and cry until mommy gets me out and then I am happy......just like nothing happened. But.....I know tomorrow it will be bath time again and I will be screaming, "I don't wanna baff."
Can I pleeeeeeaaassssee get out now?
Free..........at last!
"The Gang"
I had such a great time being with my family over the weekend! I love playing and being with my "tuzins"! I am always with adults or at school and I never get to be "free". It was fun to be outdoors where I could run and just be a little boy! The day started Saturday with a cookout at my Aunt Doddie and "Unca Roy's". The food was great and our adventure in the woods for letterbox hunting was fun! All of us took turns at trying to bust the pinata full of candy, but Matthew had a better swing and he busted it! I guess being a good ball player helped him out! Way to go Matthew! Later in the day we went walking on a trail and making pictures and then we went letterbox hunting. If you don't know about letterboxing you can learn about it on the internet. My nana learned about it from my tuzin Holli. Holli has a way of finding out such unique and interesting things for her kids to do. So my nana has taken an interest in letterboxing. (She also got the blog idea from Holli!!). My tuzin Alexis found one letterbox and I think my tuzin Jordan found the other one. We all took turns stamping the letterbox with our own personal stamps. It was a lot of fun!!! Later that night we went to see the fireworks! By that time I was so tired and cried so nana took me home and put me to bed. I really do like fireworks, but I wanted to be in "me bed" after all the hiking we did!
Sunday was another day of fun! After church we went back to Aunt Doddie's and "Unca Roy's". We had more good food and fun. I cried when we left, because I miss my tuzins when I have to leave them. Matthew, Drew and Braden stayed with Aunt Doddie, so maybe we will get to go to the playground together before they go back to Charlotte. I miss Emily, Meredith and Katie too but maybe nana, my mommy, aunt doddie and Holli will plan for us to do something fun together again very soon!
I don't wanna go to "cool"
I don't ever want to go to school even though I have a good time once I get there. Usually I'm half asleep when mommy or nana drops me off and that makes me grouchy! I love my teacher Miss Laura and all my friends. I am getting better about not pushing them and sometimes I say, "It's not nice to push your friends." I have a hard time sharing sometimes, but mommy says I have to be nice! Sometimes I get into trouble for spilling my milk or throwing food that I don't like, but Miss Laura knows where "time out" is at when I misbehave!
I'm a BRAT...
Yes, I am a military brat too! I want to thank my mommy and dada for the time they served in the Navy, even though I probably won't realize how important their service was until I am older. My dada is still in the Navy and far away, but I am too little to know exactly what he is doing. When I am older and start school I will understand more about the war and I will understand what sacrifices the veterans made for me. Thanks mommy for protecting me everyday!
God Bless America!
