Sleigh Ride In Winter Oaks

A week ago my mommy, na-na and me went to Raleigh to stay the weekend with Auntie M and go on a sleigh ride. The weather was terrible with cold and nasty rain, so the ride was canceled. We did enjoy seeing santa, sipping hot Christmas Wassail tea, eating delicious cookies, petting the animals and listening to all the Christmas carolers and performers! Maybe next year the weather will be better and we can take our sleigh ride. Thanks Auntie M for making our weekend great! I love you!

My Ghost Story

"Me was on the couch with "Ant Doodie" and me heard scratch, scratch, scratch. It wasn't a "pooky" ghost mommy, it was ZOE!!!!.......boooooo"

(Zoe is a cat and this is Lucas's "Spooky Ghost Story". I am sure his Aunt Doodie helped him make up this story!) Oh......the sweet innocence of a child!!!!

I've missed you Papa!

My Papa has been in Texas for almost 2 weeks. Sunday was the first day I have gotten to spend time with him in a while so, he and I went hiking! He cut both of us a walking stick and we bundled up and spent the afternoon in the woods. I had so much fun and of course I did not want the day to end! I love you papa and I have missed you so much!

Changing of the seasons...

I have had so much fun this summer!! I've gotten to spend a lot of time outside playing and getting dirty! I know summer is ending and winter is coming, but that's ok too, because I love the snow and mommy and me make the best snowmen ever......hurry up snow!!

It only takes a SECOND.....

Yesterday, mommy was taking a quick nap and nana, poppie and uncle Boozie was watching the Panthers game and I decided to be mischievious! I found a LARGE bottle of baby powder and thought how fun it would be if my trains had "snow" to plow through! I managed, very quietly, to take the "child proof" top off of the powder, clear my dresser and make a trail of "snow". My whole room was covered with powder! That stuff goes a long way! Mommy and my nana, poppie and uncle Boozie thought it was funny and mommy let me enjoy it for a while before she vaccumed and dusted, since the damage was already done! No telling what my little brain will think of next!!!

Itty Bitty Kiss Request

I always sleep in my big boy bed. It's so soft and cozy, but sometimes I like to get in the bed with nana and poppie. I just stay in there a while and then I get back in my own bed for the rest of the night! Last night was one of those nights! I had already gotten in my bed, mommy was studying for school, nana was in her bed and poppie was at work. I got out of my bed and got in the bed with nana.

Nana said, "Lucas, please be still. Nana is trying to go to sleep!"

Lucas said, "Ok nana, all I want is one itty bitty kiss!"

After the itty bitty kiss from nana, I go back to my bed, snuggle in and go fast to sleep! Now.......how could anyone be mad at a brat like me waking them up for a kiss?

Shave and a Haircut #2

Needless to say, I must not have pitched a big enough fit during the first "barber shop" haircut that papa took me to get. I say that because if I had, Papa Hall wouldn't have taken me for a second haircut!! He must have nerves of steel or maybe he can't hear very well because all my screaming doesn't seem to phase him!

I was a train conductor for Halloween! I was going to be Thomas the Train, but mommy changed her mind at the last minute! I'm glad she did because everyone thought my costume was so cute! Trick or treating was so much fun and I got tired very quickly! I did get some good candy, but for some strange reason it's gone..."Hey mommy, where's my candy?"

I'm Better!!!

Thanks to all my friends and family that prayed for me, looked after me, worried about me and spoiled me while I was sick. I am so much better and Sunday I finally got to go outside at Nanny and Papa Hall's and play in the leaves and mud! Looks like I'm almost back to being the meanest little boy on the block!

Oink, Oink

For those of you that don't know......I'm sick! I got sick last Wednesday and mommy took me to the doctor. I have the swine flu. I am taking Tamaflu and getting plenty of liquids, rest and lots of spoiling!! I am feeling a little better today! Please remember me in your prayers!

The Greenway

Mommy and nana took me to the Greenway in Eden and turned me loose on the world. I ran, played, threw rocks in puddles and the river and played in dirt! I had so much fun watching the boats and chasing butterflies. It was an adventure that all little boys like....freedom! Mommy kept a close eye on me, but she let me just be a kid!!! Thanks mommy!!

My mommy, nana, Unca Boozie and Aunt M went on a cruise to the Bahamas last week and I got to stay with Nanny and Papa Hall and Unca Scott and Aunt Doodie and Unca Roy. I know mommy had a good time while she was gone, but I had a better time being with my family! I had a great time being spoiled, getting to have my way and being so loved that I didn't realize that they were gone!! Thank you Aunt Doodie and Unca Roy for letting me terrorize you for over a week and telling my mommy that I was good.......she really believes you (I think!!).

I love to wrestle with my mommy. Even though i am much smaller than she is, I am stronger!! We have such a good time "play" fighting, until I pull mommy's hair and then she makes me settle down! It's fun!
